Angel lived a short yet full life.  She made a profound impression on all who knew her.  She will be remembered for her high moral values and her dedication to excellence in education.  

Everyday the young people of Lexington and Richland Counties are being tempted by the pressures of immorality, drugs, alcohol, suicide, illiteracy, peer pressure and other negative influences.  We need alternatives for our youth...Their future depends on us!

The Angel Gates Youth Foundation is an organization designed to give youth "Alternatives."   AGYF is working to redirect our youth to wholesome, clean fun, academic achievement, self-worth, and a rich fulfilled life.

The Angel Gates Youth Foundation, founded in September 1989 serves as a living memorial to this exceptional person and as a means to encourage others to accept her philosophies and values in planning their lives and careers.

Even though Angel was not able to realize her dreams, the spirit of excellence and wholesomeness lives on through the Angel Gates Youth Foundation (AGYF).  The people whose lives she touched so meekly but yet so profoundly will now carry the dreams on through AGYF.

The AGYF organization was established to provide the following activities for all area youths:  1) wholesome fun--clean recreation; 2) counseling (teen pregnancy, drug abuse, peer pressure, self esteem, etc; 3) tutoring service; 4) community involvement; 5) liaison between youth , school and legal officials.
